Baked Eggs!
I have actually made this one a couple of different times because I LOVE them! When you make them with heavy cream they have an amazing creamy texture. And if you want, You could even spice them up a little!
The link to the original recipe is at the end of the blog!
1. I gathered all my ingredients. Eggs, Milk, cooking vessel, cooking spray, salt and pepper to taste. Also a measuring cup and a Tablespoon.
2. I started with spraying down my big muffin tin with cooking spray.
3. Next comes cracking the eggs. I always crack my eggs into a separate container first. (If you look at your egg and see and red on or in it at all, THROW IT AWAY! It's not good and can make you very very sick. Can somebody say E. Coli? GROSS!!!!) Anyways, I put two eggs in each of my muffin cups, because they're the bigger size.
(And being the Fabulous Blonde that I am, I obviously can't count or I would've noticed that I only had 11 eggs instead of 12... O well they're still super yummy!! lol )
4. Now to add the milk. I added 2 tablespoons of milk to each muffin cup. (Only 1 tablespoon to the one with 1 egg.) It's a 1-1 ratio.
5. I put salt and pepper on top, but you could mix it into the milk or just leave it out and s&p to taste when your ready to eat them.
6. Now here's where it can get frustrating. :) The original recipe says to bake them at 325 degrees for 12-14 minutes. I ended up baking mine for twice that long because they were so thick in the tins. (If you use regular muffin tins or ramekins just make sure to bake until the middles don't jiggle... we aren't makng jell-o... lol)
7. So to get them out of the pan easily, I ran a knife around the edges of the tins and used two spoons to get underneath the egg and lift it up and put it into tupperwares. I'm not sure how long they are good for in the fridge (I would guess a week, they don't last that long in my house...) so store in air tight containers.
Ta-Da!!!
:)
