Refrigerator Oatmeal
OK I know my post is super late this week!!! AH!! Oops... I think the 40+ hours I'm working lately is starting to get me. Oh well, I got this made! :)
So I started off with all my ingredients and pretty much just dumped them all together. I think that's why I liked this recipe going in because it's supper simple!
This is the recipe I used:
Base:
1/4 c old fashioned oats
1/3 c 1% milk
1/4 c greek yogurt
1 1/2 tsp flax seeds
Then you can add whatever toppings you want
I did approximately these amounts in each container:
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 TBSP of Strawberry-Rhubarb Jam (Grandma's Homemade Of Course)
1-2 cut up strawberries
1 handful of raspberries
I also snuck and made a version of a mocha with:
chocolate milk instead of 1%
small handful of dark chocolate m&ms and chocolate covered coffee beans
smashed to little bits
(I found out after I tried it that it needed some more sweetness)
So it's basically dump all your ingredients into one container (big enough to fit your ingredients with a little room left over at the top)
Shake it up
And toss it in the fridge overnight...
Take it out the next morning and Voila! Done. Grab a spoon and dig in!
Enjoy!
